Common Luxury 出品
Our story begins in the ethereal oasis, The Garden. This celestial paradise within the Jungle of Jubilee is reserved for only the purest beings. The opening act continues into the opulent capital city. Jammed at the edge of Jubilee’s coastal borders is the decadent Noir City, a tropical hub of ritzy cabarets, casinos and cafés, tucked amid shoddy bars and a shadowy underground scene.

Company name: Common Luxury
Venice, California based new media entertainment company Common Luxury works with indie artists to create multi-media world building projects. Their debut production is the carefully crafted, “Jubilee,” a first of its kind audiovisual work to be released in four theatrical acts.
Film noir inspired cinematic visuals and modern storytelling are combined with an original soundtrack to submerse the audience into the world of Jubilee. Set in a tropical noir realm, Jubilee, reimagines stereotypes and blurs the lines between reality and fantasy.
Each act within the realm explores a specific region within Jubilee. The characters move through physical space while the audience is taken on a journey through the human psyche. Like the world of Jubilee itself, the songs are multi-dimensional and aim to move the audience to a higher consciousness. The narrative unfolds throughout the four regions of Jubilee; The Garden, the rugged Jungle, a decadent coastal capital known as Noir City and a smattering of exclusive Islands sprinkled across the Celadon Sea.
The story follows the members of the resident band of Noir City. The band is comprised of Zsa Zsa the vocalist, Alexei the instrumentalist, Cruz the percussionist and Xai B. the DJ. They perform in a neo-retro cabaret called The School House, where their music serves as an escape from the intensity of Noir City and as a way to connect to the spirit of the jungle. Coming together from different regions and backgrounds, the band members find an unlikely home and family with each other. Together they navigate the underworld of opulence, excess and Noir City’s thugs The Big Spenders.
The philosophy behind “Jubilee” is inspired by the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien, Aldous Huxley, and Ken Wilber. The project has a world music sound with accents of dreampop, blues and bossanova and is influenced by artists such as Sade, The Doors, Carlinhos Brown and Thievery Corporation. The original soundtrack incorporates both live and synthesized instrumentation and highlights multi-part vocals sung in English and Portuguese. Similar acts include Lana Del Rey, Sofi Tukker, and Billie Eilish.
